Olly Murs is arguably one of the best singers in the current series of The X Factor, but today, Cheryl Cole described the hunky singer as a “dark horse“.
She says that Olly Murs, mentored by Simon Cowell is yet to reveal his true potential. She told the Kiss 100 Breakfast Show: “I’m worried about Olly. Olly is kind of not happening at the moment, but one to watch out for.“
She continued: “He’s a dark horse and all the girls love him.“
But Cheryl insists that her contestants, Rikki Loney (rumoured for elimination tonight,) Joe McElderry and Lloyd Daniels have a real chance of winning the show. She said: “This year is all about the boys.“
Though I disagree with her. The boys have a good chance of winning, but i personally feel Lucie Jones (currently 2nd favourite to win), will take the crown. Just a personal opinion of course, but where i do agree with Cheryl is that there’s far more male contestants who have a real chance of winning than there is for the girls.
Olly recently hit the headlines when he revealed his favourite girl band is the Spice Girls, admitting his favourite pop song from the group was ‘Wannabe’.
Simon Cowell originally described the Essex lad as “cool“, and reportedly laughed when Murs told him he chose ‘Wannabe’ as one of the top five songs which gets him in the mood for a party. He chose other tracks from groups such as Five, Take That and Boyzone.
Clearly his choice in music doesn’t appear to be as cool as he is as a person.
