Police Hunt for Cheryl Cole’s Brother Andrew Tweedy

13/10/2009 in News by Andrew MacDonald

Andrew Tweedy ArrestedPolice in Newcastle are hunting for Cheryl Cole’s older brother, as a search warrant is issued for failing to turn up for court.

Earlier this year we posted news that Andrew Tweedy was due to face charges at Newcastle court for common assault. At the time he was given a suspended prison sentence, but since the court hearing he’s breached the conditions of his bail, and was due back in Newcastle Crown Court this morning due to that offence. Unfortunately, Mr Tweedy failed to appear, which prompted the judge to immediately issue a warrant for Andrew Tweedy, who until now, still hasn’t been found.

Mr Paul Caulfield, Tweedy’s Lawyer has told the court: “I don’t know why he isn’t here, he has been informed of the proceedings.

Earlier this year, he was branded ‘Crashly Cole‘ as he stole a friends £9,000 Audi while drunk, taking the motor out for a joyride, managing to smash the luxury motor up. He then asked his sister Cheryl to pay for the £4,000 repair costs, to avoid him being charged by police. Cheryl was fed up of her brothers antics, having bailed him out many times in the past, and refused her brothers pleas for help, meaning he had to find the cash, or get in trouble with the law yet again.

Mr Clark, 30, was walking home from work when he was attacked by Tweedy, leaving lasting damage on the victim, who is now scared to go out alone. Tweedy is no stranger to jail, having served six years for a stabbing and four years for mugging a teenager in the past.

Tweedy, who has more than 70 criminal convictions was spared jail at the time, and got away with a three month suspended prison sentence, ordered to pay £250 in compensation, and do 100 hours of community service.

Tweedy, who lives on benefits and has racked up an additional 10 criminal convictions for his C.V. in the last six months, has always described himself as the black sheep of the Tweedy family. While Cheryl Cole has risen to stardom, he has racked up convictions for offences such assault, robbery, vehicle theft, joyriding, drunk driving, and many more. His earliest conviction was at just 13 years of age. He couldn’t even attend the wedding of Cheryl and Ashley Cole because he was in prison.

He’s recently said: “Cheryl wants to help me but I’m too far gone. I know I’m breaking her heart, but I’m not strong enough to sort myself out. It tears me up to think I’m causing my sister so much pain. I’ve told Cheryl she should be ashamed, but she says she’ll never give up on me.

Andrew, you say it “tears you up to be causing your sister so much pain” – Well STOP breaking the law then!!! Idiot.
