This is a story we have held off on writing about for the last week now. Many of you emailed us asking why Cheryl Cole was not wearing her wedding ring on last weeks X Factor, but at the time, we were unable to find any pictures / videos which proved to us she wasn’t wearing the ring.
Acting on your tip-off, during this weekends X Factor live shows, we were keeping an eye out for Cheryl without her ring, and your tips were indeed true. Cheryl was NOT wearing her wedding ring during The X Factor week 5, sparking rumours over her rocky marriage to footballer Ashley Cole.
The Girls Aloud beauty tried to wash away the new rumours after X Factor aides claimed she had simply forgotten to put on her £160,000 diamond rock after washing her hands. But her bare hands have now cast speculation of a rift within the Cole household.
A friend told a national tabloid: “The truth is the marriage is over, even if neither of them wants to confront it. They still have the occasional moment of fun but they both know, particularly Cheryl, that this isn’t going to be forever. The pattern of their relationship seems to be that she achieves something, he goes off in a sulk and she spends the next three or four days massaging his ego and building him up again.“
“He can be petulant, pouty and vain,” said the family friend. The latest marriage rows come after Cheryl had to recently cancel her party to celebrate her number 1 single, after Ashley refused to attend at the last minute.
Last year, Cheryl Cole was forced to publicly stand by her man after News 0f the World published details of Ashley’s affair to single mother, Aimee Walton.

aww i feel sorry for cheryl. She going thorugh a busy time with all her solo stuff + x fattor so it must be difficult for her yo get to see ashley cause she dosesnt have nay free time. I hope they sort it out cause i think they make a nice couple hen there happy Love you Chery xx

i don't really want to think cheryl's marriage is over. cheryl is a nice lady. she deserve to be happy. i think ashley and cheryl should take time out together to work things out for themselves. i do hope they could sort out their differences soon. i think ashley cole should be proud of what cheryl had achieved so far. ashley this is not a competition. i think you should give cheryl treats, especially treats, because she deserves every bit of it, just try to be nice and be a caring husband to her. love you lots cheryl.

no no no please no, it can't be over. Maybe it's just a rumor, they make such a nice couple and i thought everything was going on fine wasn't it? Cheryl said they were gonna try for a baby, how can this be true, they can't divorce, plz. For the love of God, please no. Cheryl's having a hard time coping with the publicity and the sudden massive massive fame. I agree with Alice, i think they should take some time off, go for a holiday, and just have fun together, forget about all the problems they have and everything that's going on here, just go have fun together and talk things through. They make a really really nice couple. luv them

i hate him i seriously do why cant he just be happy for her, lets face it no one is ever going to like him more than her so he needs to just get over it.
i want them to divorce but then cheryl will be unhappy for weks and we dont want that!!!

I would not go as far as to hating him, i think they make i nece couple and hate is a strong word. They do need a bit of time together but it is so hard when she is the face of loriel and x factor and her new album, i so hope they can work things out, of is it just because she left itby the side of the sink, we will just ahve to wait and see on friday where she is doing a duet with snow patrol,
