OK we all know that Girls Aloud are currently on a break from the band while each pursue solo projects.
The official story has been that the band will reform early next year, and have an album ready for release in the Summer, but bandmate Sarah Harding has cast doubts on the future of Girls Aloud after she admitted that she’s not sure whether the band will even stay together.
The singer, who has recently opened her own nightclub and is pursuing a career in acting – is surprised the group have managed to remain so popular since winning Pop Stars: The Rivals back in 2002.
She said: “We’ve grown up in the spotlight, we never thought we’d stick around. We’re simply taking a break now, we all felt it was time… We said about a year – but we’re going to see what happens.”
The blonde party animal told Jonathan Ross that she has her sights set on acting right now. “I’m not saying I don’t want to sing any more but everyone knows I’m a bit of a drama queen, I really enjoy a new challenge. This is what I want to do.“
But the 27-year-old insisted her ‘party girl’ reputation is no longer accurate, as she’s much calmer now. “When I was a lot younger I was probably going through a hard time. A lot of stuff is misconstrued, I love to go out and have fun but I’m at my most comfortable when I’m at home, don’t have to care what I look like.“
Sarah’s first major acting role is the sequel to St Trinians, which is will hit cinema’s next year under the name of ‘St Trinians II: The Legend of Fritton’s Gold’.
One thing’s for sure, Girls Aloud DO have to reform at some point in the next 18 months, as they signed to a new 3 album contract before they split 4 months ago. Whether they sign a new contract after those three albums remains to be seen.

please please please don't split up. I luv them all so much, Girls Aloud is the best girl group ever formed. They can't split up.

If they split up for good I will probably get bored listening to the same songs without any chance of new ones being released! Which I really don't want to do as they're my favourite girl band ever.
