Simon Cowell may have missed Cheryl Cole’s 30th birthday bash, but he has made it by buying his former X-Factor co-judge the “Lady” title as a gift.
The 53-year-old music mogul, who famously fired the Call My Name singer from The X Factor USA after appearing for a few auditions, bought a piece of land in the Scottish Highlands for her, which also came with the title.
The Sun, citing a source said that Simon has the land’s deed and the details regarding her new title were sent to Cheryl’s current place. She later posted a photo of the land’s deed on Twitter and message to Simon, which said that he should now address her as Lady Cheryl Cole both in person and in the media.
Cheryl, who turned 30 on June 30, celebrated her birthday in lavish £50k party in Las Vegas. Simon didn’t attend the party with reports saying that she shunned her party but later he denied it and said that he didn’t snub Cheryl’s party. He couldn’t go to her party because of his “X Factor USA” filming dates. He also said that he adores Cheryl and are close friends. In reply, Cheryl confirmed her friends with Simon and thanked him for the gift.
Cheryl invited her Girls Aloud band mates Kimberley Walsh and Nicola Roberts and also her boyfriend Tre Holloway, amidst rumors that neither Sarah Harding nor Nadine Coyle was invited at the bash.
