While former “X Factor” judge Cheryl Cole is looking for answers from show producer and fellow judge Simon Cowell about the reasons why she has been fired from the US version of the show, we hear that Simon Cowell told close associates the reason why he had to fire the 27 year old UK singer. The report quoted Simon as saying that they made a “terrible mistake” in hiring Cheryl and that she did not “work hard enough to try to impress her new American bosses”.
The report also stated that Simon said that Cheryl allowed herself to be bullied by the other judges in terms of discussions during auditions and that she did not push herself enough. Simon was even quoted to describing Cheryl as a “spare part on the panel” since she lacked the confidence that he was looking for in a judge. According to the report, the associate said that Simon “stuck his head out” for Cheryl since the other producers did not approve of her being on the show in the first place but ultimately she did not deliver.
