Cheryl Cole and Dannii Minogue quite literally went toe-to-toe in the latest round of X Factor style wars, as the pair stopped off in Glasgow for X Factor auditions. The X Factor beauties have paraded a series of chic outfits in an unofficial battle to become the shows most glamourous judge, but the fact the friendly rivals both wore the same pair of heels on the same day marks a fashion faux pas in the rare-field world of celebrity.
The £490 six-inch heels are a favourite among celebrities, including Victoria Beckham, Heidi Klum and JLO. From the ankle up, Dannii triumphed yet again in an elegant tuxedo dress which easily outshone Cheryl’s skinny jeans and singlet combination. (although we don’t take any pleasure in saying Dannii triumphed Cheryl).
Dannii Minogues new short hairstyle was hanging down in a wavy bob, she looked chic and smart as she left her hotel in a statin dress with oversized belt and black patent platform heels.
While Cheryl Cole certainly has age on her size, being 11 year younger than Australian singer Dannii, its Dannii who’s emerged as the most polished judge as a result of experimenting with edgier choices.
Again, we are a Cheryl Cole Fansite, so take no pleasure in saying Dannii looks better, but thats the opinion among fashionites everywhere. Yesterday the judges were out in force as they prepared to host the second round of auditions in Scotland, due to a bungled attempt the first time around.
The first round last month were effectively ruled non-existent after Simon Cowell announced that this years auditions would be filmed infront of a live audience. Problem was, the first round of Glasgow auditions happened before this announcement, therefore there was no audience.
So 4,000 lucky fans (including my friend Gillian on Twitter) managed to get hold of tickets to see the Glasgow auditions being re-filmed. She was also lucky enough to talk to each of the judges, and was given Cheryl Cole’s pen by the Geordie judge.
In other X Factor News, it has emerged that the X Factor judges reportedly use code names whenever they check into hotels whilst working away from home, so nobody knows who they are. According to reports, the four panelists use the fake titles when they travel across the UK for auditions.
Music mogul Simon Cowell, 49, calls himself General Mills as he is in charge of The X Factor army. Australian singer Dannii Minogue uses the name Pussy Jones, whilst Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Cole uses Miss Coco. Irish music manager Louis Walsh uses Captain Fang.
Now, these names seem to be very wacky, so whether the reports are true or not, i don’t know, but it does make sense for them to use false names, I’m just not sure the above ‘false names’ are the ones the judges actually use.
So how do you think the judges looked? Which judge was most stylish this week? Leave a comment…
