But this week, the bookies are sticking with their earlier predictions, and reckon Lloyd’s time on the show is up on this week. Everywhere you look over the last few days, The X Factor has been on peoples lips. Simon Cowell’s decision to allow Jedward to sneak through via the public telephone vote, when he had the perfect opportunity to boot the terrible twins, has not been well received by the British public.
In fact, the decision was so controversial that TV watchdog Ofcom are investigating to see if The X Factor result was fixed. His decision to save Jedward also sparked over 4,000 complaints to ITV. The whole scenario has tainted the shows credibility of The X Factor as a “singing competition.” So where does it leave the remaining contestants that can ‘hit a note or two’?
The theme of this weeks show is Queen Week, after Simon Cowell changed the theme from ‘Dance Week’, sparking rumours of favouritism as his acts suit rock music more than others in the competition. What’s the betting that Jedward will be singing ‘Another One Bites The Dust?’
Well here’s how the bookies are rating The X Factor’s remaining contestants. Olly Murs is still favourite to win the show, while Danyl Johnson and Joe McElderry are in 2nd and 3rd places respectively. The bookies think Lloyd Daniels will get the boot this week with John and Edward expected to be in the bottom two with him.
