The X Factor Win NTA For ‘Best Talent Show’

Tonight I tuned in to watch ‘The National Television Awards‘ as I’m sure many of you  also did. With Joe Mcelderry opening the show performing his version of Don’t Stop Believing and Dermot O’Leary hosting we knew we were in for a treat. Cheryl Cole and Simon Cowell took front row seats at this years awards, Cheryl looking dazzling as usual wearing a long grey dress with her hair up loosely.

Many different awards were given out and most celebrities were at the special event. Including; Katie Price, David Tennant, Dannii Minogue, Holly Willoughby, Jeremy Clarkson, Tess Daley, Myleene Class, Fearne Cotten, Heather Mills and Davina Mcall. Last year Simon won the award for ‘Special Recognition’ whereas this year the award was given to Steven Fry including a video from Prince Charles himself congratulating him and speaking of his greatness. Special performances included Jedward’s new single with a guest appearance from Vanilla Ice.  The top ten people from got to dance also performed.

Finally, one of the last awards presented was for ‘The best Talent Show’ nominees were; Strictly come Dancing, Dancing on Ice, Britain’s got Talent and The X Factor. As we guessed X Factor won the award and when all the judges but Louis Walsh (who couldn’t be there) went on stage to collect their award Simon said a brief thank you and then passed the acceptance speech to Cheryl who really didn’t seem to be expecting it. She started by saying ” I have never really had anything like this before” then going on to thank everyone involved. Dannii Minogue then said a quick thank you and Simon Cowell added in, ” I would just like to say a huge thanks to my dentist” at which everyone laughed and they left the stage.
